The PS-D series is already designed for parallel or redundant operation and can be individually adapted to your requirements with additional electrical options. The mechanical versions are tailored to a wide range of requirements and protection classes. The modules are available as 19″ plug-in units or surface-mounted housings for mounting plate attachment, while the systems are usually installed in a cabinet or wall-mounted housing.

Special features of the systems

In general, a few safety-relevant parameters, such as secondary protection, should be taken into account when using switched-mode power supplies. We would be happy to share our experience with you and give you tips on selective staggering, cable cross-sections etc. or design according to your requirements profile. We have already developed numerous systems over many years, particularly in connection with 24V, 48V or 60V battery replacement systems.

• Capacitor bank and/or bypass for DC/DC converter systems
  Due to the limited output power of DC/DC converters, the safe tripping of fuse elements in particular causes considerable difficulties – this problem is usually solved with a capacitor bank. However, the electrolytic capacitors used there dry out over time, which means that fuse tripping can no longer be guaranteed after a few years. For this reason, we have developed a system (bypass) with which we use the short-circuit energy of the higher-level battery.
